A Message from Pastor Dan Durrenberger
To our family at E3,
Our lives have drastically changed in the past year or so as we have transitioned into our new roles as parents. It’s true that absolutely no one can prepare you for the tremendous ups and downs of early parenthood. It’s been such a trial and such a joy to be stretched in these new ways!
As Lindsay and I have begun adjusting to our new lives, we’ve had to have some incredibly difficult conversations. For the sake of our newborn son, we’ve had to sacrifice certain parts of the lifestyle that had become normal to us. And together we’ve arrived at one of the most painful decisions yet.
To put it plainly, Lindsay, Dax, and I will be moving away from Tallahassee at the end of April to be closer to family; our last Sunday at E3 is currently planned for April 28. Our hope is that, with the help of friends and family in central Florida, we can create a pattern of life that will ultimately facilitate better, more consistent care for Dax.
Lindsay and I truly need your prayers during this transition. We are taking a step of faith into the unknown with the expectant hope that God is going to meet our needs. Please pray for the continued strengthening of our faith, our family, and our finances.
Thank you all for the incredible opportunities our family has had here. We look forward to savoring our last few months with this incredible community!
And if you have any questions about any aspect of this transition, we invite you to talk to us, Pastor Mark, or Pastor Dan Meyer about it. We’re all processing this new part of our journey together.
With extreme gratitude and anticipation,
Dan, Lindsay, & Dax Durrenberger
Best wishes and blessing on this tough decision. Melanie and I moved “back home” to Tallahassee/Waukeenah years ago, from Pensacola, primarily to be nearer our double extended families. That turned out great when we started having kids…. you know, it takes “village”/family etc to do that. It was super to have our families involved closely with our young un’s.
E3/we will miss you.
